City and Guilds 2391 is the qualification covering Inspection and Testing in the UK.
Within this guide, we are focusing on the C&G 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installation, as it is this combined qualification the one you should aim for.
In order to maintain high standards within the industry, the exam covering Inspection and Testing, which allows qualified electricians to certify their work, must be of very high standards. The C&G 2391 qualification exam was well known for being one of the hardest exams within the electrical industry with a variable pass rate of delegates, around 30%.
The Inspection and Testing exam consists of three parts:
1. An online multi-choice exam covering the principles, practices and legislation for the initial verification of electrical installations
2. A written exam covering the principles, practices and legislation for the initial verification of electrical installations
