Certification For Inspection And Testing

There are three types of documents available for certification of electrical installations:
- Electrical Installation Certificate
- Minor Electrical Installations Works Certificate
- Electrical Installation Condition Report

It is a legal requirement to complete a Minor Electrical Installations Works Certificate or an Electrical Installation Certificate for any work being carried out on an electrical installation. This is true regardless of the type of the installation, such as domestic, commercial or industrial.

For electrical installations within domestic environment, this is also enforced by Part P of the Building Regulations.
